Dawn

Margaret
Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado. After working in the high tech industry, she decided to re-tool her skill set and work in a career that offered immediate feedback and achievement when working in a one-on-one environment with a patient. Margaret is grateful to be a part of an amazing long standing vision therapy team that always encourages professional growth and enthusiasm in assisting patients of all ages to better their lives through vision. Margaret successfully completed the vision therapist certification process in 2007 from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Margaret and her husband have two young active boys. While growing up and living in the beautiful state of Colorado, Margaret’s favorite activities are biking, hiking, and reading.

Michelle

Christy
Christy came to Impact Vision Therapy with a legal background. She is originally from New York and obtained a degree in Paralegal Studies from SUNY Broome. She moved to Colorado in 1997 and worked for a small law firm in Colorado Springs for 14 years. When her son was diagnosed in 2nd grade with eye teaming issues, it changed both his life and hers. He went through vision therapy and he became a different child at school and at home. He was below grade level in reading before vision therapy and by the end of 3rd grade he was at grade level and thriving in the classroom. He had been labeled extremely shy at school, but after therapy he became a much more confident student and it showed in class. Christy was excited to switch careers and immerse herself into a field which means so much to her and her family.

Christy lives in Monument with her husband and they lead a busy life chasing after their three children.

Amanda – Patient Care Coordinator
Amanda was born and raised in Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She and her husband moved to Colorado in 2003 and now have two boys. They enjoy outdoor activities and traveling together. Previously, she worked as a teacher and a director in a local preschool for 12 years.

In early 2016, her youngest son was diagnosed with a Convergence Insufficiency and she became very interested in vision therapy. After seeing the positive improvements in her son’s personal and educational life, she decided to make a career change and join Impact Vision Therapy as a Patient Care Coordinator.

Jan – Patient Care Coordinator
Jan comes to Impact Vision Therapy as a former Projects Manager for a Colorado Springs college. Jan’s degree is in History, with a strong emphasis on American History. While her background in vision therapy was once limited to seeing its positive effects in a family member’s vision therapy success, she enjoys learning great things through her position as a Patient Care Coordinator as patients and parents share their own success stories. Jan is friendly and loves people. Her position at the front desk making new friends with our patients is the best part of her job!

Jan came to Colorado when Colorado Springs was a much smaller city and grew up with Arabian horses and giant dog breeds as her family’s livelihood in nearby Black Forest. She and her husband also raised their children in the Forest. She has been active in community projects for many years, from working with fundraisers to working with individuals in need. Family time is most important, but she also loves, crafting, genealogy research and exploring new places.
